Join this experimental class with Shirin as she introduces you to the world of raw and outsider artist, Jean-Michel Basquiat!

Students will learn his artistic process and techniques, creating a painting in his style on a surface made of wood strips. We are going to also collage like Basquiat so bring paper, tissue, book pages, and a few of your Amazon boxes 😉

Supply List:

wood panel provided by instructor
bring all your painting supplies!
acrylic paints in various colors
pens or markers
different size brushes
rags or Blue Shop Towels

About the instructor

Shirin Nikoukari

I started painting when I was young. I moved to the United States in my 20's and mix my Persian culture with my abstract inspirations. The pomegranate is a sacred symbol for me and often shows in my work as well as Persian Calligraphy. As I have evolved, my work has become more abstract.
