Learn all about gold leaf and take home something extra special for the tree this year! Gold leafing is fast, fun and an easy way to bring life to and shimmer to your art.
In this workshop, artist Shirin Nikoukari shares different ways of applying gold leaf quickly and properly onto various types of holiday ornament surfaces. Students will learn about materials, difference between imitation and real gold leaf, and the most effective way to apply gold leafing so that it will last for years to come. Supplies: This workshop will provide all gold leafing materials needed to gild 2 beautiful and shiny holiday ornaments but feel free to bring your own brushes or paint colors you like from home. Shirin Nikoukari
I started painting when I was young. I moved to the United States in my 20's and mix my Persian culture with my abstract inspirations. The pomegranate is a sacred symbol for me and often shows in my work as well as Persian Calligraphy. As I have evolved, my work has become more abstract. |
