about the instructor
Lori Hinton
As a lover of the beauty and every changing drama of the ocean, Lori brings her energy and enthusiasm to her paintings of seascapes. Oceans can be calm, cold, fogy, powerful, bright, sunny, and full of dramatic color or dull cold color, splashing on rocks, full of jumping fish, breaching whales, or sparking like diamonds from moonlight. Lori has a weekend beach home in Rosarito and has the opportunity to see the ever-changing drama of the ocean. She brings this experience to her artworks. Lori has a vibrant personality that she brings to all of her life endeavors. She is a doctoral prepared nurse practitioner and previous professor of higher education nursing. She has studied art over the years taking evening/weekend classes in watercolor, acrylic, design, color and drawing. In her retirement, she paints, takes classes and has taken leadership roles in SDWS. Her interests have expanded into the exciting area of abstract works. |
