R&F PIGMENT STICKs lecture & DEMO

Come learn with R&F Core Instructor, Caryl St. Ama, at this demo packed full of valuable information about oil-based Pigment Sticks that will open up new possibilities!

Caryl will cover:
  • the Pigment Stick product line
  • health and safety tips
  • suggested supports
  • building a surface
  • transparency effects
  • using with traditional oil mediums
  • working with immediacy versus a brush
  • monoprinting
  • creating transfers
  • mark making

Great for all skill levels and those new to working with oils.

about the R&F Paints REP

Caryl St. Ama

Caryl St. Ama was born and raised in Texas on the Gulf Coast between Houston and Galveston. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas State University in San Marcos and her Master of Fine Arts from Claremont Graduate University in Claremont, California. She recently retired after thirty years of teaching on the college level with twenty-seven of those years at Glendale College in Studio Arts (Oil & Watercolor painting, Life Drawing, Figure painting). She is now one of nine Core Support Instructors for R&F Handmade Paints based in Kingston, NY. She maintains an art studio in South Pasadena, California and her work is exhibited throughout the U.S. and Europe and included in numerous private collections.

Art on 30th is ADA approved in all public spaces of the building with a wheelchair accessible front entrance and a handicap parking spot in our back parking lot with a ramp that leads to our wheelchair accessible back entrance. Studios on the 2nd level are privately leased and not part of our public space; artists can apply for wheelchair accessible studio spaces on the 1st floor as part of our Coworking Studios that we offer to the public for a monthly fee  with no commitment/contract (see our Rentals page for more info).
