Paint in the Park: plein air
This plein air oil painting class is all about getting loose, being expressive, and working fast in the great outdoors.
For oil painters but those experienced with slow-drying acrylics (i.e. Golden OPEN) are welcome.
Each week, we'll meet at a new park in San Diego county and discover all the beautiful places this diverse area has to offer. After the first week, each class will get to vote on where we will setup from a list of park options—so no two plein air classes will be the same!
Week 1, we will be at Art on 30th for orientation.

About the instructor
Marjorie combines her love of painting with her passion for travel and exploration. Painting en plein air enables her to capture the atmosphere of a place, and she feels that it brings authenticity to her work. When painting in the studio, Marjorie seeks to approach the blank canvas with the same immediacy and spontaneity found in her paintings. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Art in 1983 at Rowan University in New Jersey. Currently, Marjorie's work has been featured in the California Art Club Gallery and many more in the Southern California area. She also participated in Plein Air Invitationals and Competitions.
