Painting: Plein Air to Studio Workshop
With a special focus on nocturnal painting, this workshop is designed for those who want to try something fun and different!
We’ll meet that Friday evening at Art on 30th to discuss the process of plein air painting, as well as the joy and challenge of nocturnal painting.
On Saturday, we’ll meet on location for two very different plein air painting sessions: one in the morning and one in the evening.
On Sunday, we will reconvene at Art on 30th to critique the previous day’s work and also to translate the plein air studies into a larger studio painting.

About the instructor
Marjorie combines her love of painting with her passion for travel and exploration. Painting en plein air enables her to capture the atmosphere of a place, and she feels that it brings authenticity to her work. When painting in the studio, Marjorie seeks to approach the blank canvas with the same immediacy and spontaneity found in her paintings. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Art in 1983 at Rowan University in New Jersey. Currently, Marjorie's work has been featured in the California Art Club Gallery and many more in the Southern California area. She also participated in Plein Air Invitationals and Competitions.
