multi-colored lino block printmaking
Join us as we take a deeper dive into more techniques for lino block printmaking by creating multi-colored prints!
Learn about registering more than one block to create a 2 or 3 color design and the 'reduction method' of carving for layering colors on the same sheet of paper.
Each participant will get a few lino blocks to carve and experiment with by applying various inks and printing methods. After completing the workshop, you will know how to create your own colorful lino block prints at home.
Great for all skill levels—but students will need to come with some knowledge of simple or basic carving techniques for us to build upon and so we have ample time to carve designs that are more complex and larger than a stamp.
