This workshop focuses on developing basic design principles while encouraging personal expression through the accessible medium of paper collage. We will learn creating basic shapes, applying bold colors, exploring Matisse's cut-out techniques and composing dynamic collages with simple forms. Students will walk away with their own Matisse-inspired artwork, gained knowledge of collage techniques, and an understanding of color relationships in abstract art.
