Look to the earth for inspiration and guidance while learning to incorporate colors and textures of the natural world into your expanding mixed-media practice.
There really is no limit to the materials available to us: dirt, sand, seeds, bark, leaves, grasses, etc. can lend texture and natural color to our work—or simply learn to mix color with the natural world as your guide! Possibilities include new forays into mosaic as well as yet-to-be-discovered assemblage exploration. Basic materials and techniques will be covered through demonstration, guided practice, and study of established artists. Topics covered:

Bruce Turk
A professional actor and director, Bruce Turk has maintained a practice of visual art for many years. He studied drawing at Northwestern University, was mentored by artist Yukio Nishinarita in Japan, and studied painting with Ronnie Landfield at the Art Students’ League of New York. Most recently, his work has been shown in several juried shows at Art on 30th and has been published in numerous literary journals. His solo show, Archive, will be exhibited as part of the 2022 Art Night Encinitas. |
