About the instructor
Kelsey Worth portrays vibrant flora and fauna using water-based mixed media. Inspired by Georgia O’Keefe's enlarged flower works and Lucian Freud’s thick impasto style, she melds traditional painting techniques and modern representational art. Worth’s work captures nature’s inherent movement and rhythm using sweeping brush strokes and dynamic compositions. Her work embraces colorful timeless subjects while pushing the boundaries of realism.
After receiving a dual Bachelors degree in Studio Art and Music, Worth continued studies at the University of Redlands in Southern California and received a Masters Degree. Her art earned University of Redlands Departmental Honors and she graduated Summa Cum Laude. May 2017, Worth joined the United States Marine Corps and completed active duty in April 2021, earning distinction as an accomplished Marine, musician, and visual artist.
