Explore composition, contrast, form and depth, using proven representational and contemporary painting methods to produce captivating works of art.
Whether you are new to a paint brush, aren't sure how to get a painting started, or are an experienced painter looking to refine skills and techniques, students will receive one-on-one instruction while enjoying the energy and excitement of the group classroom setting.

About the instructor
Chuck is a well-known, award-winning artist working in watercolor, mixed medium, acrylic, and oil. A Listed Artist, he has shown in institutions like the Oceanside Museum of Art, the California Center for the Arts Escondido, the San Diego Museum of Art, and fine galleries like The San Diego Watercolor Society, Adelman Gallery in Downtown San Diego’s Gaslamp, and the Ashton Gallery in North Park.
He has garnered hundreds of awards for his paintings; has served on four Board of Directors for institutions like the San Diego Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society and the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild; and is a sought-after art show juror.
Chuck is a full-time artist and popular instructor doing workshops, demonstrations, and “paintformances”. He also mentors artists looking to grow beyond "lessons" and brings an open and entertaining attitude to his classes.
