In this workshop, you will be introduced to the history of gestural drawing and why it is fundamental to capturing the human form. Students will create several sketches of a live clothed model. Anna Dinkel
Anna Dinkel is an artist and fashion illustrator based in San Diego, California. Her art journey started in the USSR, where she attended art programs and went to the college of art and design. She has a masters degree in architecture and degree in a brand management in a fashion industry. After moving to the United States, she returned to her passion for drawing using charcoal and soft pastels as her favorite media. Her primary subjects are figure drawing and fashion. She has taken multiple pastel workshops and courses from well-known, award winning pastel artists like Dawn Emerson, Tony Allain, Margaret Dyer and Glen Maxion. Anna believes in the importance of drawing and painting from real life, and enjoys life drawing sessions and sketching on location. Anna is a member of Red Rock Pastel Society of Nevada, Pastel Society of South California and Urban Sketchers San Diego. |
