Pouring, Painting & Play with Epoxy!
Creating Art with Epoxy
This two day workshop will teach you everything you need to know to create beautiful, vibrant, glass-like works of art using non-toxic epoxy (Art Resin). The class will be taught by local artist at Art on 30th, Prabudh Noel, who primarily specializes in making abstract art using epoxy.
What is resin/epoxy?
Epoxy, often called resin, is a essentially a two part chemical reaction of resin and hardener, that once mixed creates a solid, extremely durable and permanent glass-like surface. Initially, the consistency is like a thin, clear molasses that can be easily manipulated. Once cured, the resin will remain unchanged and be ready to hang or sell.
Fortunately there are now safe resins that require no respirators and are non-toxic. We will be using a premium brand, Art Resin, which has been specifically formulated for artists; it has no VOCs/fumes, is self leveling, anti-yellowing, and has UV stabilizers. It is up to 100 times more protective and durable than traditional varnish.
Who Can Take The Class?
Artists of all skill levels are welcome and can benefit from this class. No previous experience in creating art or using resin is needed! This will be a very entertaining and dynamic class so come prepared to learn something new in a fun and creative space. Bring some wine and snacks if you wish to take your creativity to the next level!
