Kirsten Francis

Kirsten Francis is a mixed media artist and instructor living in Encinitas, CA. She studied fine arts and figure drawing in high school, and received a BFA in Printmaking from the Pacific Northwest College of Art, Portland OR. A printmaker for many years, she discovered the excitement of collage and mixed media through her children’s preschool cut and paste art projects. Working intuitively with found images and her own drawings, Kirsten creates complex, dimensional artworks that combine everyday life with the fantastical and weird.
