anything but a brush
Have fun experimenting freely and messily—but without a brush while reviewing basic strategic principles! And you guessed it, we'll be painting on the ground outside true to the instructor's unique process.
Learn to create your own personal style by experimenting with acrylics, dyes, powders, charcoal and tools on canvas. Self expression, mark making, layering and creating different dimensions. Students will walk away with learning a different painting technique that they can incorporate into their own style. Supply List:

About the instructor
JoAnne Redfern
There is absolutely nothing planned or deliberate about my work. Trying new techniques with colors are what inspire me and dictating the next layer of paint. Every interaction with the canvas is an organic gamble or an exercise in non-attachment. I work outside on the ground, no gloves or easel. Most of my paintings have multiple layers of failures underneath. I take risks without regret, knowing it will get better tomorrow. I believe that a painting, like each day, should never be the same or easy to recreate. |
"I’m not exaggerating to say that classes at Art on 30th are the most FUN and stimulating I’ve ever been to—and I’ve bene to many."
